Ruben Gonza Biography
Ruben Gonza was born in Moca, Dominican Republic. He is a member of the Dominican College of Plastic Artist, The International Association of Plastic Artist, and founder of the “Group of Fives”.
During his career Ruben Gonza has done more than 24 international and national expositions. In 1994, he did the third and last of the series on Dominicans life at the museum San Juan Bautista in Puerto Rico. “Cotidianidades” as the series was known present to the public daily shades of social and cultural life.
In his last presentation on March 16th 2009 “Impressions”, at the Italian Cultural Center, art’s critics Virgina Goris stressed that Gonza contemporary and figurative art is “…in essence environmentalist, a song of life, to the human beings that make it, and to nature and its emotions…”
