Carlos Carvallido Biography

 


 

Venezuelan.  Born in Montevideo, Uruguay.   Follower of the constructivism school, he studied with Edgardo Ribeiro, Carlos Llanos and Adolfo Nigro, all disciples of Joaquin Torres Garcia. He lived in Montevideo and Buenos Aires until 1988, the year that he established himself in Caracas.   Museums that acquired his works are, American Museum of Art in Maldonado, Punta del Este, Uruguay, Carmen Montilla de Tinoco Museum, La Habana, Cuba, Museum of Fine Arts, Lujan, Buenos Aires.

 Private Collections:  Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Columbia, Spain, Germany, United States and Venezuela.

 2007          Private show at M.E. Pollock’s residence, Caracas.

 2007          Traveled to Montevideo, Buenos Aires.  Workshop of designs, paintings, and constructivism.
